Arbutus Solutions has worked with Microsoft to develop case studies for some of projects that we have completed. We currently have two case studies that have been published on the Microsoft site. We have also written a whitepaper on Project Finance that is hosted by Microsoft.
Quraz
Project Server 2010, SharePoint 2010, Portfolio Analysis
Privately-owned Quraz is Japan’s largest and most successful provider of rental storage. With 36 facilities in all of Japan’s major cities, each facility has 250 to 1,500 individually locked units ranging in size from less than 1 square meter to more than 15 square meters. All facilities are bright and clean, and accessible 24 hours per day. To retain its competitive advantage, Quraz continually strives to be the most efficient firm in the industry. Quraz needed a solution to support the objective of more effectively selecting and managing projects that reduce facility operating costs.

BC Ministry of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation
Project Server 2010, SharePoint 2010
The BC Ministry of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation was facing challenges in planning, tracking and documenting the multiple treaties they manage. Using Project 2010, Arbutus Solutions has delivered a system that is giving Ministry staff better information regarding the status of projects and helping streamline workflow. As a result, employees are understanding and monitoring progress of treaties more accurately and identifying problems sooner, which is significantly reducing legal risks.
A video Case Study with ministry staff and Arbutus Solutions consultants, discussing the system can be found at: MARR Video. A written Case Study can be found at: MARR Case Study. Additional information regarding the Ministry can be found on the Ministry of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation’s website.
